Due to a lack of interest on my part, I am relinquishing my role as OSCC Interclub contact person. Everything is in place for 2014, which leaves plenty of time for those OSCCers who are interested in the Interclub series to select someone to represent the club in future dealings with Barrie and Newmarket.
The principal duties of this role, as I see it, are to ensure that the OCA is aware that the Interclub series is part of the annual OSCC event schedule, and that the other participating clubs continue to be aware of the OSCC’s existence and interest in the series.
The first duty is accomplished by informing the OSCC president of the Interclub schedule (once it is known) and requesting that the races be included on the club schedule and ensuring that the OCA is aware.
The second duty is accomplished by attending Interclub events and by maintaining lines of communication with the other clubs. Although it has been some time since the OSCC has organized an Interclub race, it is recognized as an Interclub member of long standing. From time to time some individuals need to be reminded of this status.
