OSCC members Kylie and Robert finish the Ontario Youth Road Series Provincial Championship Race in top standings. The Provincial Youth Race was held again this year in Ancaster. The rainy weather with a course of punchy rolling hills and two hair pin turns challenged the riders. Kylie riding for Esteemtraining based out of Hockley Valley put in an outstanding TT effort that placed her in the lead. She followed up the RR with a hard uphill sprint finish that gave her a second place finish; combined points gave her first for the GC and the Ontario Youth Provincial Championship. Kylie finished up the point series in second place.
Robert also riding for Esteemtraining in the Cadet Men’s category placed 8 Overall in the GC. Robert did and outstanding job of doing breakaway attacks and chasing down attacks but their team was heavily marked by the rest of the cadet field. In the end it came down to an all out uphill sprint. Robert was in the mix for the sprint and finished 7th.
