I'm fixing up my old Kettler Alpha so my brother in law can use it while he's here in June.
It has a Shimano Positron rear derailleur. A few years ago the cable broke and the only replacement I could find was too long. It makes a large extra loop at the rear. Because it uses piano wire and has molded fittings at each end, I can’t simply cut back the outer.
Does anyone know where I can get the correct cable? My bike has down tube shifters. Maybe the bike the cable was intended for had shifters on the handle bar?
