Well those spiral splines don't look at all familiar, but judging from it's shape and the spokes in the background, I'd say it's the inside of a free-hub although of what make I have no idea. Campagnolo?

There is fresh tar and chip on the Lindenwood road both east and west of the road between Wolsely and Copper Kettle ( Grey rd.#17)) it is of good quality and should pack down pretty quickly. Also a section on the old stone school road near Hepworth.

I was riding out to Kemble tonight(tuesday), and the chipseal has started at Wolseley out to Lake Charles, I imagine that the rest of the roads will be done by the end of the week. It looks as though they are using a small stone chip and in a couple of weeks the road shouldn't be too bad.
