Re: Guess the component...

Well those spiral splines don't look at all familiar, but judging from it's shape and the spokes in the background, I'd say it's the inside of a free-hub although of what make I have no idea. Campagnolo?

I'm looking for a ten speed cassette ( shimano or sram) in any condition that has a 32 cog. Please drop me a line if you have one gathering dust.Even a single 32 cog would work too. Thanks

tar and chip 2016

There is fresh tar and chip on the Lindenwood road both east and west of the road between Wolsely and Copper Kettle ( Grey rd.#17)) it is of good quality and should pack down pretty quickly. Also a section on the old stone school road near Hepworth.

Re: tar and chip updates

I was riding out to Kemble tonight(tuesday), and the chipseal has started at Wolseley out to Lake Charles, I imagine that the rest of the roads will be done by the end of the week. It looks as though they are using a small stone chip and in a couple of weeks the road shouldn't be too bad.

tar and chip updates

The writing is on the road! SST or single surface treatment from Wolsely to Lake Charles, and from Kemble up the hill and down to the first corner, DST or double surface treatment from Lake Charles to 1km past the Big Bay road. I'm not sure when this will happen, but if this is one of your favourite...

bicycles on airplanes

The last time I took a bike on an airplane was in 1978. I just took off the pedals turned the bars sideways, tied the wheels to the frame and sent it on it's way, and as it's a well known fact that "God takes care of fools" my bike arrived on the other end intact (thank you God!). I'm certain airlin...
